SUMMER PASTELS AND APPLIQUES with designer 'Vidhi Wadhwani'
Hi Guys, It’s yet another blog post from me and yet another amazinggg look that I created for you guys. It feels great to connect with you all through the medium of my content and these imageries and share some interesting and fun looks that I create all along the way.
On another note, I have always believed that Indian women are definitely amongst the most beautiful women in the world. I mean everywhere I look around, there is so much of prettiness and they are all so beautiful in their own natural way. Yet, sometimes I feel that when it comes to dressing up and styling themselves, the girls that I see around, I feel they lack their own distinctive taste in the choices that they make. It’s so important to be in sync with what’s trending, yet one needs to add a piece of their own heart and soul to the way they dress up, just so that they stand out from the rest of the crowd. We all are different; hence we should look different too. What’s the point of dressing up alike, wearing the same fashion trends, carrying the same looks. Wouldn’t we all start looking like replicas of each other? So next time you get ready to go out or for that special occasion, just style for yourself, add that personal touch and flamboyance to your whole look and see how amazingly you stand out in the crowd !
So, what you see below are the two outfits from designer ‘VIDHI WADHWANI’S LABEL’. She is based out of both India and Dubai and the most fascinating element of her creations is the brilliant use of Summer Hues, Summer pastels and the hand- done textures applique work in her creations. The label is eponymous with unusual drapes and 3 dimensional textures through deconstruction, fabric manipulation and focuses on hand-skills to create silhouettes and elements that are unique, flattering and feminine. The dresses and luxury pret outfits that she creates have a whiff of freshness, style and spring to it. I loved the flowy silhouette of the blush pink gown and the very unique applique flowers in black and white that have been artistically spread all over it. I think I can continue wearing this all through the entire Spring Summer season this year. The hair were just pulled up and tied in a bun as messily as possible, don’t they say sometimes that ‘My hairstyle for the day is that I tried’.! Even for someone in the fashion industry and whose job is to dress up and create styles each day, the styling sometimes is actually as effortless as it comes across. While you enjoy the outfit, do not ignore those flowers that I added to the whole look to further enhance the whole blossom feel of those applique flowers on the dress that were so unique and noteworthy. And just some blush to highlight the cheeks and the nudest of pinks on my lips, and the whole look turned out to be so breezy and fresh.
I had actually been eyeing this label ‘Vidhi Wadhwani’ for quite sometime now. The label has showcased at some coveted Indian and International platforms like London Fashion Week and Lakme Fashion Week and has also featured in popular mainstream magazines like Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar UK, Cosmopolitan, Elle, and Asian Age.
And there is only one word that aptly describes the pastel pink Jumpsuit that I wore from the brand and that is ‘CLASSY’. The attached cape look at the top and those finer detailing added to the neck and the sleeves just takes the style quotient of the jumpsuit notches higher. Also, the neckline at the back was a deep cut making it look exceedingly feminine yet subtly sexy. I think I am absolutely sorted with some stunning pastel outfits in my closet this summer. Enjoy these images of the looks and do feel free to share your inputs in the comments section below. Your love and appreciation is what keeps me going.
Stay hale and hearty and don’t forget to smile a little more often, pretty lady.
