WOMEN look the most BEAUTIFUL in INDIAN WEAR - and for good reason
As much as I love to flaunt my ‘Little Black dresses’ and my ‘Couture gowns’ and love to carry those almost 15 pairs of much worn denims that I have accumulated in my wardrobe over the years, casual Indian wear outfits still hold a very special place in my heart and my closet as well.
As I always say, in case a girl wishes to look really beautiful, she must opt for an Indian look. However, what pleases my heart even more is that the Indian looks now are no more restricted to a traditional vibe. Designers of late, have been truly experimental with their creations and we have too many interesting options to pick from even in the most basic categories.
We have numerous options for a brunch look or a work wear look and even for a dinner date. You can glam it up in several ways and still retain the best part of it that is the immense comfort level that wearing an Indian outfit always exudes. I have some single piece dresses, a lot of pairs and also a lot of separates that I can style in an innovatively new way each time you wear them.
There are lot of designers spread across a lot of cities these days that are doing contemporary Indian looks in a very refreshing way adding a personal touch of their creativity. There is a look to suit everyone’s pocket with a wide range of options available. A few of the brands that do some interesting contemporary Indian wear looks that can are extremely versatile to be styled in several ways, yet don’t burn a hole in the pocket.
I have posted a few looks here that I created with outfits from these brands. As far as the styling is concerned, I have kept the accessory part really basic. Just a silver choker or a statement neckpiece or maybe a pair of elegant earrings. Just ensure that you wear only one piece of jewellery to keep the overall look really low effort. We are definitely not wanting to make it look overburdened and cluttered.
For the hair and makeup with a contemporary Indian outfit, the overall feel must be kept really neat, clean and pretty. I have just ensured that my hair are in a healthy condition and not styled them to let them flow freely. There is no use of any hair accessories, as that would have killed that Indian wear vibe to the whole look. The makeup has also been kept very dewy and fresh with a light flawless base and a bright lip shade to add some colour. Don’t really overdo the makeup. Just healthy, well hydrated and shiny skin goes really well with such a look.
Hope you find this simple styling of Indian outfits really soothing to the eye. These looks are basic, yet powerful and can be carried from the boardroom, to a family event, a festivity or even to a brunch or a dinner date. Do share the look that you liked the best and would love to try on yourself.
