Most stunning INDIAN SUITS for KARVA CHAUTH this year ft. Surabhi Arya Collection
For Indian married women, Karva Chauth is one of the most looked forward festivals of the year. They fast the entire day for the healthy long lives of their husbands. And as soon as they get a glimpse of the moon in the night sky, their husbands break their day long fast with water and sweets. I have grown up watching my mother and aunts doing this festival and all the related rituals. Though what I found the most enticing was all the decking up, getting ready, wearing the finest Indian outfits and Jewellery and getting that heena on their hands just like a new bride. Not to mention, my dad and my uncles were almost coerced into buying expensive lavish gifts for them almost as an obligatory gesture to prove their affection for them as well. If only fasting could get you all that !
Every married woman wants to look her gorgeous best on the day of Karva Chauth. It is the day of celebration of that love and marital bond after all. It is actually a sight to watch how well they dress up and all the effort that they make for this special day. Understanding the momentum of the festivity, Indian designers too launch their specific collections for Karva Chauth. Gurgaon based designer SURABHI ARYA has been one of my favourite designers when it comes to beautiful, ’easy to carry’ Indian suits for years now.
This year, though Corona has dampened most of the fervor and spirit for the season, yet these festivals are surely going to light things up a bit. Rather, we all women have been dying to dress all the year and these festivals would be good enough reason to make new purchases and get all these beautiful clothes. The designer launched her collection ‘ADORI’ just in time for these festivities. All the pieces have delicate hand threadwork. The colours are all so soothing and fresh and just resonate well with the festive celebrations and vibrance.
When I sat down to style these pieces with my team, I really couldn’t pick one as my favourite. All the colours are beautiful and the silhouette is so relaxing and comfortable. One doesn’t really need to put in any effort with the styling. I paired them mostly with long earring and chandeliers. For a couple of looks, I put together my Jadau chokers as they perfectly complemented the sophisticated and regal vibe of the outfits.
If you are a married woman or someone much in love fasting for your partner this Karva Chauth, these suits would just bring out the grace and femininity in you. Just go all heavy with makeup and jewellery or you can even keep it light with just a pair of simple earrings. The simplicity of these suits would definitely make you stand out in any case.
