METALLIC GOWNS are trending BIG for the Cocktail/Reception look
Wedding season is around and the celebrations are back in order though with some constraints now. But everyone is excited to be getting dressed in their finest for the big festivities. Designer stores have opened up their Virtual Shopping platforms. In person store shopping is also available but with prior appointments. All the advisory precautions of wearing a mask, sanitizing hands, maintaining distance are being strictly adhered to.
I had really been bugged with wearing a Metallic Gown for quite sometime now. For the Fashion aficionados, ‘Metallic is BIG’ this season is no breaking news. Rather metallic hues and shiny bright gold and silver looks have been in vogue for last couple of years now. I have been particularly intrigued by the designs of designers and brands like Itrhofficial, Shorshe Clothing, Falguni and Shane peacock. The former two brands do simple Indian wear silhouettes like a salwar kameez and a sari in metallic colours and fabrics and they are just way too glamorous. Falguni and Shane peacock is a Luxury wear Indian designer label that does stunning opulent Metallic Gowns.
So, when I happened to lay my hands on one of the metallic gowns, I knew I had to wear it. It is a steel grey hue that is neither too jazzy nor bold. It is just the perfect hue for a classy and rich luxury wear statement. With metallic gowns, the key is the finesse and the perfection of the fit. The gown needs to sit really well on the body type. I laid my hand son this gown at the LuckySilk Store in South Extension, Delhi. Apart from the colour, I really loved the sequined detailing and the ruffled piece on one side of the shoulder.
Brides who are often not sure of how to keep all their looks interesting, yet drastically varied from each other for all their wedding functions, metallic gowns is definitely a great option to explore. It makes for an ideal outfit choice for the Reception or Cocktail look.
Though for this look, I kept the makeup and hair really simple, the Brides can go all out with experimenting with such a metallic gown. Go for big false lashes and a lot of shine and shimmer on the face. The lips can either be kept loud and full if the eyes are light. Else a neutral lip shade should do the trick. A perfect hair-do with such an outfit would be sleek, shiny, straight hair or some glossy, well curled, bouncy beach waves.
Hope you love this look and these metallic gowns have enchanted you just as much as they have me.
Lots of Love,
Till we meet next,
